In the month of Rio + 20, Promundo is showing that sustainability is also present in our projects. In partnership with Uncharted Play, an American institution that developed the Soccket, a soccer ball that also works as a sustainable energy generator, Promundo will hold the “Sharing Energy” indoor soccer tournament in Morro dos Prazeres with the participation of 60 boys and girls. The project will take place this Saturday and Sunday and June 23rd and will also feature awareness-raising workshops that will address topics such as gender, violence and sustainability.
Uncharted Play is an institution that aims to create fun products and services that allow people to rethink the role of games as a tool to address essential issues for society. The institution developed the Soccket, a ball generates energy for 3 hours and to be charged it is enough to play for 30 minutes.
