This Friday, March 6, on the eve of International Women's Day, the Secretariat for Women's Policies (SPM) released the 2014 results of the Women's Service Center. Launched in 2005, the Center already has more than 2 million services and in 2014 there was a 50% increase in records of private imprisonment of women, compared to the previous year. Also in relation to 2013, reports of sexual violence against women increased (20%), including rapes, harassment and sexual exploitation. Last year, more men reported episodes of violence against women, rising from 13% in 2013 to 14%.

The Central's website highlighted the importance of the media in publicizing Ligue 180. According to the website, “62% of service users declared that they found out about the Central through TV, radio, newspaper or internet. TV alone was responsible for 47% of demand for network 180 services in 2014, double compared to the previous year.”
