Promundo, in partnership with Plan International, is preparing a manual of tools for combating the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents, focusing on education between peers of adolescents and young people.
On February 27th and 28th, workshops were held in Tibau do Sul, Rio Grande do Norte, to create the manual with the participation of teenagers and young people from the city itself, Tamandaré and Ipojuca (Pernambuco) and São Luís (Maranhão).
During the first day of the workshop, dynamics were carried out with the aim of surveying young people's experiences around the themes that will be covered in the manual – gender, race, sexuality, violence, among others.
The second day was dedicated to sharing experiences of community mobilization and campaign creation, thinking about the structure, ideas for the content and design of the manual.
After its production, the manual will still be tested with the same group of young people and the final version is scheduled for June 2016.
