Promundo, Plan International Brazil

In 2013, Plan Brasil brought together a group of young people from Maranhão, from the Healthy Adolescent Program, interested in carrying out actions with other young people. The idea was to join forces to promote autonomy, health, pleasure and gender equality, guaranteeing respect for their sexual and reproductive rights.

After workshops mediated by the Promundo Institute, young people realized that it was possible to pass on information to other young people with an appropriate approach and close to the public, to inform them about their rights. From then on, the young people themselves created this notebook inspired by the H and M manuals, developed by Instituto Promundo, ECOS, Instituto Papai, Salud y Género and World Education. The Agent M (mobilizer) Manual is a tool that makes it possible to replicate this same experience in other locations, offering step-by-step instructions for young people to develop activities with their peers. The complete manual including two annexes is available for download: a poster illustrating the female reproductive system and a poster illustrating the male reproductive system.
