With the creation of Promundo in 1997, in Brasília, DF, Brazil, and the implementation of several projects in communities in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the Promundo team began a legacy of action in the country. The organization's headquarters is internationally recognized for developing research, methodologies, community interventions and advocacy actions in Brazil, Latin America and Portuguese-speaking countries, which are evaluated and disseminated worldwide.

Miguel Fontes
CEO
Miguel Fontes has experience in developing and evaluating the impact of Early Childhood Development (ECD) programs. He led the first national strategic plan for ECD in Brazil in 2001, in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Assistance. He is the founder of PROMUNDO, one of the leading organizations for men's involvement in fatherhood and early childhood care across the world. He also has experience in Social Impact Assessment (SIA), data collection, research design and project evaluation, and social mobilization, and has worked on several child and youth development projects. His field of specialization is the development of sustainability strategies in Latin America and the United States. He has a degree in Business Administration from the Catholic University of Brasília, a master's degree in International Relations and a doctorate in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University.

Luiza Tanuri
International Consultant
Luiza Tanuri has a degree in social sciences from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and has more than a decade of experience working with popular movements in Brazil and the United States. As a consultant for Promundo, Luiza supports the coordination of fieldwork in the city of Rio de Janeiro and also serves as an international consultant for Promundo International. Luiza worked as a community organizer at New York City's largest immigrant-led organization called Make the Road NY, organizing undocumented and at-risk youth. Luiza has experience with advocacy, civic engagement and popular education. The areas of specialization are gender, youth and immigration.

Rodrigo Laro
Senior Research and Evaluation Consultant
Rodrigo Laro has a PhD in Public Health from the Faculty of Health of the University of Brasília (UnB) with the topic: Cost-Effectiveness Assessment of the National Health Promotion Program for Sexually Exploited Adolescents and Young People. He has a master's degree in Social Management and Labor from the Administration Department of the same Institution and a specialist in Applied Statistics and Social Marketing and Social Mobilization. He has a degree in Social Communication. He has 16 years of experience in carrying out research and evaluations of programs and policies with Development Organizations, Companies, Governments and the Third Sector. Among the projects carried out, the themes of gender equity, promotion of integral health and human development of children, adolescents and young people in vulnerable conditions are present.

Bruna Martins has a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from the University of Brasília. She collaborates in Research and intervention actions at the Promundo Institute. She is interested in the areas of Anthropology, Museums, Gender and Education, with an emphasis on material culture, ethnomuseology, exhibition mediation and alternative educational methodologies.
